Road Trip
Every spring since 1944, the Mixed Chorus has piled onto a bus to embark on a mission. A mission to share our music with communities all over Canada. We have travelled to towns as near as Lacombe and Red Deer and have gone as far as Whitehorse, Thunder Bay, and Eugene, Oregon. We share our sound and music with smaller communities who would otherwise not have a chance to see a group of our size and calibre. Conveniently for students, the tour takes place in the week after final exams end and before the spring session begins. Even though spending nine days on a bus full of people travelling from town to town may not sound like fun at first, the tour is often recalled as being the most enjoyable aspect of the UAMC.
Spring Tour is as much an experience for the audience as it is for the chorus members. It is a chance to bond and form lasting relationships.
