About the Chorus

The Mixed Chorus, founded in 1944 by Gordon Clark, a medical student, is one of the University of Alberta’s oldest non-athletic student clubs. Each season, its members come together to share their love of music. The Mixed Chorus has been under the direction of Dr. Robert de Frece for over 25 years, and continues to create beautiful music in the spirit of the students who founded it over 60 years ago.

For more information, see here to read the full history of the UAMC.

About the Handbell Ringers

Founded in 1988, the Faculty of Education Handbell Ringers have for years been an integral part of the UAMC experience. A separate sub-group of the chorus, the Handbell ringers provide both accompaniment and their own incredible, inimitable form of musical entertainment.
