About Us
The University of Alberta Mixed Chorus was founded in 1944 by Gordon Clark, a medical student. In 1947, Professor R. S. Eaton began an association with the chorus that was to last twenty-one years. Under his direction, the Mixed Chorus developed into a loyal and cohesive unit. Membership
Becoming a member of the UAMC Auditions for the Chorus are held each year during University Orientation and Week of Welcome, the first week of classes in September. Auditions are not something to be afraid of and are predominantly used for finding which section your voice will fit best in. Accepted members are required to pay a yearly membership fee ($40) and purchase concert attire (~$100). As st...
